Unsere Luft
HomeUnsere Luft
Earth may have lost the Sun’s protective shield millions of years ago
NASA-funded studies suggest Earth’s climate has been influenced by both the Sun’s travels through dense regions of the Milky Way and the violent superflares...
Forces deep inside Earth helped Antarctica freeze before the Arctic
Scientists may have solved the mystery of why Antarctica froze millions of years before the Arctic. Slow-moving waves deep inside Earth gradually lifted East...
Scientists discover a natural Arctic cloud factory missing from climate models
A newly discovered Arctic process can dramatically boost the number of particles that help form clouds. Near melting sea ice, sunlight reacts with chemicals...
Air pollution linked to distinct brain changes in regions vulnerable to Alzheimer’s disease
USC researchers found that exposure to common air pollutants was associated with different patterns of cortical thickness in two groups of older adults, pointing...
Scientists detect a sharp acceleration in global warming
Global warming appears to have shifted into a faster gear. After removing the effects of El Niño, volcanic eruptions, and solar cycles, researchers found...
Threefold increase in atmospheric–riverine compound heatwaves under climate change
Record-breaking heatwaves disrupt global water, energy and food systems, yet the co-occurrence of atmospheric and riverine events remains largely unexplored. Here we analyse 796...
Deep convection only temporarily intensified by aerosols
A sudden rise in aerosols makes clouds more active for about a day. Then the effect fades as the atmosphere adjusts and warms aloft,...
China’s Chang’e-6 reveals why solar wind hits the Moon’s two sides differently
China’s Chang’e-6 samples have uncovered a surprising difference between the Moon’s two hemispheres. Solar wind particles penetrated deeper into the far-side soil because Earth’s...
PDF: Erdgeschichte
Im Internet sind unzählige PDF’s, Whitepaper und Fact Sheets zu fast jedem Thema zu finden. Ich habe hier mal einige relevante herausgesucht und themenbezogen für...
Assessment Report on European Air Quality 2025
The Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) has published its Assessment Report on European Air Quality 2025, confirming improving air quality trends in Europe for...
