This past Wednesday, tragedy struck with at least 1,114 people have dead and more than 4,000 remaining missing after a catastrophic flash flood struck the Nepal-China border. The disaster was triggered by a glacial collapse in the Himalayas, which sent a massive surge of water, ice, rock and mud that travelled roughly 100km through the Lhende and Bhote Koshi river systems.
Villages, roads, bridges and other infrastructure were swept away across Nepal and Tibet, with more than 1,200 people displaced…
